Book Review - Shift: Inside Nissan's Historic Revival
In my International Management class we were asked to read Shift: Inside Nissan's Historic Revival it was an excellent book and I figured I would share my opinion of it.
InBev will regret buying Bud (if it goes down)
Anheuser Busch (BUD) is rumored to be an acquisition target for InBev (a Belgium company) for $46 Billion dollars!!! There is not many things that are more American than BUD. A few that do come to mind are the auto industry (GM & Ford), baseball, and apple pie.
Slacking
So I realized something the other day in a meeting…
“If you don’t have a vision every opportunity is strategic”
The lack of a vision is allowing the business to chase every single opportunity regardless of value, probability of win, or strategic importance. This is a waste of time and money, set us on a path and let us execute.
Big changes @ iamokruok
So I've decided to move most of my business, finance, real estate, negotiation type posts over to CaptialCents. The originals will stay here but the new ones will go over there what the hell double your pleasure double your fun right?
With the logo almost complete a rebranding/relaunch of this site is needed. We'll be talking about fitness, eating right, sports, life, and other non-business related topics and life styles.
Since we have no readers this shouldn't be a big deal but hay we are trying to find our identity over here.
Set some goals for 2008 and start down the pathway to success
Goals are important, everyone should set a few goals and work to achieve them. Then at the end of your time frame review the goals, if you don't achieve them all it's OK! The goal is to be able to look yourself in the mirror and be honest with yourself as to why you didn't achieve them.
College Football on Fox SUCKS
Well it's college bowl season and Florida State lost. I guess it's tough to win when you have 36 players not traveling, but hay they battled tough.
Now I have to watch the BCS (which is a huge joke) on Fox. Fox does a great job with NFL but come on Jimmy Johnson and Barry Switzer for analysts? What a joke, college football rules on ABC and ESPN. Give me some Lee Corso and kirk Herbstreit.
So it's on mute so I don't have to listen.
By the way I highly recommend the new Good Charlotte CD, it's very good.
Enjoy this...
The 5 basic points of Negotiation
So I just finished another semester of school; only two more semester before I finish my MBA!
Why pay per click does not work
So I finished another semester of school last night, we had an intense 4 team acquisition of a fictional company called Epi-Tel. So now that school is over for a few weeks I am going to post a lot more.
No seatbelt get a fine no helmet pass go
This kind of stuff cracks me up, in Florida if you are in the front seat of a car you can be fined for not wearing a seat belt. However, if you drive a motorcycle not only is there no seat belt but you do not have to wear a helmet either! So in Florida it is not OK to drive in a thousand pound automobile that is essentially a steel cage with safety glass windows and a these things called airbags without a seat belt but it is OK to drive on the outside of the steel cage with no helmet and no bags of air?
